Not yet. But we have plans to implement this in next releases.

Can I make a splitmenu (horizontal header, vertical items) with TheDNN.Menu

Yes you can. But you need to know that this won't behave like a tab module. The behavior will stil remain like you are working with a menu.

Can we get access to the source code?

No.

Can I attach a URL to a Tab?

URLs and where a tab is pointing to are followed by standard structure of DotNetNuke pages. So if you need a tab to point to another URL you can do it via Page Edit.

Can this menu system replace the DNNMenuNavigationProvider ?

Yes. However if the automation proccess didn't work you can contact our support for more advices.

How does licencing work if I have 10 full separate domain alias for the one major parent DNN site which has a different full domain name? That is, depending on what domain entered by user, it runs with that domain name but there is only one actual portal running underneath?

What that matters to our licensing system is each individual domain. So for 10 domains running on a single DNN website with different portals you need 10 licenses as well. But if all the domains are referring to a single portal then please contact us via our ticketing system and we will find a solution for you.

How much optimization to the search engine is provided within this menu?

This module is not SEO yet.

Can we buy the 10 pro licensed version and get licenses issued as we need them?

Yes you can.

How can I specify the menu to stay expanded vertically? For example

You need to check the "Expenaded" feature of the menu in Menu Settings. You can do it also for each item. However this is not a permanent expansion.

I am trying to figure out if I can create a purely graphical (no text) top-level menu with dropdowns. The customer for the site I am working on wants the top-level nav to have several large graphics with a very custom font for the top-level items, and I cannot have HTML text over the top of that (using it as a background image isn't going to work). Can I accomplish that with TheDNN.Menu?

Yes. This is possible useing TheDNN.Menu. For this you need to use ItemSettings and for that you need the professional version.

Can you define multiple columns in a dropdown menu?

No.

How do you delete a menu?

You can remove a menu as normal as you remove any other modules in DotNetNuke just by pointing to the action menu and hit delete.

How to apply a pre-saved menu settings ?

You may have recieved a menu settings as an exported file. You can apply the setting to a new menu module using the Admin / Graphic Manager / TheDNN.Menu.config / Graphic Manager.

How do I apply the skin to the Main menu on my DNN portal?

DotNetNuke is using SOLPART Menu as the Default Skin Object for the main menu presented with token  [SOLPARTMENU]. If you are designing your skin and you want to have it run with TheDNN.Menu instead, you can simply replace the token of SOLPART to [TheDNNMenu].

But there is an easier way available as well.

In addition to above you can let TheDNN.Menu to change the built in menu for you. It is really simple. Just follow the instruction below:

1. Install your skin and make it as default using "Admin / Skins / (Select your skin) / Apply"
2. Navigate to "Admin / TheDNN Menu Config / Control Center"
3. The last item in the Control Center (Left Down), "Change to TheDNN.Menu", can handle this for you. Just click on it and confirm and in a few second you will replace built in menu with TheDNN.Menu Skin Object.

One extra tip : You can use the same link in Control Center to change TheDNN.Menu Skin Object back to native SOLPART Menu.

What is "Look" ?

Look item is special navigation item which solely purpose is to define common appearance settings for a group of items. Navigation items that use the same look item have the same appearance.

What's the difference between a Look and a Skin?

Skin will be applied to a Menu instance, however a Look will be used in a Skin. The perperties in a Skin will override the one defined in the Look which is being used.  Consider "Look" with same properties as "Skin" but in a lower priority level. You may use a Look in different Skins. Looks can be exported individually. When you export a Skin, the Looks that are used in the Skin will be exported automatically.
